Kaiāulu O Waikoloa
68-1850 Pua Melia Street
Waikoloa Village, HI 96738
The economy of West Hawaii is primarily driven by the tourism industry, creating a high demand for workforce housing. High land prices, remote location, and costly construction make providing workforce housing within close proximity to the resort areas of West Hawaii more challenging.
Ikaika Ohana’s team has successfully met the challenges of the big island bringing over 180 units of affordable housing recently to the island. Kaiāulu O Waikoloa will be a community of plantation style apartment homes in keeping with the densities and master plan of the larger Waikoloa Village.
Units have energy star appliances, LED energy star lighting, water sense certified plumbing fixtures, solar hot water heating, hard surface flooring and ceiling fans throughout. On site amenities include a community center with lanai dining area, BBQ/picnic area, fenced children’s playground/play area, community gardens, laundry facilities and on-site management.
Social services are provided though community partnerships at the on-site community center, which is scaled for convenient after school/after work social service programming for our residents and the broader community. These multi-family LEED for Homes certified apartment homes bring desperately needed affordable workforce housing to the larger Waikoloa Village development.
