Dawn M. Bigley

Director of Architecture and Design

Dawn has more than 25 years of design experience, 19 years in design management. In her current position as Director of Design for affordable housing firm Urban Housing Communities (UHC), she has created distinctive, sustainable environments that define the company’s award winning brand of housing. She has worked on UHC’s LEED certified developments, creating standard design specifications that exceed state green building standards, and meet LEED. From planning through construction, she coordinates the design of each community from conceptual design direction during planning phases, then designing sustainable interiors and exterior finishes through construction. Her responsibilities include interfacing with all design and creative consultants to achieve brand distinction. Additionally, she launched the company’s website and visual marketing campaign, videos and blogs. Prior to her UHC experience, Dawn spent 12 years owning and operating a sustainable design business.
